FAQ & Jewelry Care Instructions
How should I care for my Crossing 413 jewelry?
All pieces of our heirloom jewelry collection are sterling silver (.925). Original pieces are hand-sculpted in fine silver. Those original pieces are then small-batch cast in sterling silver. Our process maintains the handcrafted character of each item making them exclusive and unique to our brand.
As with any silver jewelry, our pieces require routine care to maintain their appearance.
- If you are ordering a piece with an "antiqued & polished" finished, your piece should maintain its patina (this finish has an antiquing solution which darkens the recesses of the piece). To increase shine, lightly polish with a jewelry polishing cloth - no cleaner or polish should be applied.
- If you are ordering a piece with a "natural & shiny" finish, please note that with daily wear these pieces will show a natural patina over time; therefore, they require a regular cleaning with a polishing cloth. To clean pieces with significant tarnish, we recommend using the instructions found here under method 2.
As with any piece of silver jewelry, we recommend that it be the finishing touch to your daily routine. We recommend to avoid applying lotion, makeup and hairspray while wearing your creations. In addition, please refrain from showering and swimming while wearing our jewelry for best results.
