Our "Inspire" short sleeve t-shirt features hand drawn artwork on the front and back. "Inspire" is scripted across the front, while the back features a hand drawn apple logo full of things teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors and principals do every day! As a former teacher, I know the many hats teachers (and others in the school system) wear, so I wanted to pay tribute to the many roles they fill in the lives of their students.
{Side Note: There is an "I" in the apple stem...so the back is full of things teachers do! Also, I know just how valuable all school system faculty and staff are - so this was designed with them in mind as well!}
The heart behind the design:
Fun fact: I taught high school agriculture for 3 1/2 years. Every day, I walked into my classroom not knowing what the day would hold. Some days were full of laughter - and I'd be lying if I said others weren't full of tears.
Teachers have a special place in my heart because I know it's so much more than just teaching. It's doing your very best to mold young minds to do better - to be better. It's believing in a student's potential...and convincing them to believe in it, too. It's celebrating the gains - not just the score. It's listening when no one else will and cheering when there's no one else there. It's loving fiercely and hoping when others have given up.
So, here's a little design just for all of those out there who wake up every day to inspire the next generation to be better than the last!
